'We felt welcome right away, they have a full bar, pickleball court and corn hole boards. Typical continental style breakfast was warm and well stocked. We appreciated the bourbon barrel style of the decorations. Would stay here again, the location is great for a home base.'

'We had dinner at the Talbott, and it was amazing. The free breakfast was very slow to get waited on by the one waitress and my eggs were cold. I loved the room we stayed in that had an old bank safe for a closet. It is an old building so the walls are thin, but the location and the cool old building made it worth it for us!'

'The original room we were in was infested with ants. We called and was moved to another room on another floor. Both rooms had dirty carpet floors. '

'To start the staff was very unfriendly and told us that Expedia had over booked the rooms and they were not sure they had a room for us. We booked in November 2025. They did finally find us a room after I asked if I should leave to try and find a room to which they said I could if I wanted but fearing I would lose my money which I had fully paid I chose to stay. We were also told the pool was not available which was part of why we chose this hotel and they said Expedia should have advised us. ...

'We were very pleased with the Bourbon Capital Inn. The owners are working hard to restore the Inn and have done a great job. Our rooms (yes plural) were on the first floor area, so we were able to park in front of our rooms. There is is a "front" porch area (or veranda) that has very comfortable chairs and tables, which we used in the evenings to sit out and enjoy the mild spring weather. 'Rooms were clean. Staff friendly. Only complaint that the hotel can’t fix is there was a lot of road noise from the traffic. And the room beside us decided to blare their TV at 2:30 am but did turn it off after I banged on the wall a couple of times! 🙄 It’s a quick 3/4 minute drive into Bardstown so nice and close! '
