'As we drove into the vicinity of the resort, we thought where are we going. As we passed the fuel and gas depots we were quite concerned, but once we saw the marina and arrived at First Landing, we fell in love. This place has old traditional Fiji beauty, and we loved our beachfront room. The staff were exceptionally. Their warm smile and wish to please was such a beautiful thing to experience. If you’re after glitz and glamour, this may not be the place for you, but if you want old Fijian...

'The staff at the Hideaway were all really friendly and helpful. We stayed here as a family and found the accommodation comfortable and clean. There are some quirks with the buildings being a bit older. But this didn't worry us. Hiring a car was helpful to access other shops and restaurants to suit our needs with kids but the resort has everything so not a must.'

'The balcony had a beautiful view over the gardens to the sea. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful with many many choices. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There were many activities available if you chose like weaving, tie dying… and during the evening most evenings a show, like island dancing, fire dancing, island singing… and… I really liked it was quiet by 10pm. '

'The resort is directly across from the airport with a free shuttle. Beautiful grounds and pool with a nice restaurant and coffee shop. The staff are attentive and friendly and the rooms clean. Enjoyed my 2 day stay there ! '

'Highly recommended! The palms is an awesome place to stay at. Cross over to the marina that includes various shops and restaurants and buy souvenirs to choose from. Great wifi service.
