« Firstly, the staff were lovely. I was travelling with my disabled mum and noted when booking we would need a ground floor room. We booked a "suite" with a bed for two and a bed for one so that we would have enough space to manoeuvre. Unfortunately we hadn't been given a room on the ground floor but this was quickly rectified. The room was clean and tidy. The mattresses were extremely hard. There were disability modifications for the toilet which worked well, but there wasn't anything for the...

« Checked in, straight to our room, we were tired from the long journey so tried to get to sleep. However found dirty marked sheets that looked like a skid mark. Black bits on the flat sheet. Three unspecified stains on the carpet, one which was bright pink. A used nicotine snuz that was dry so would’ve been there a while that was near the bed. Blood marks near the toilet roll in the bathroom and the bathroom door was coming off its hinges. »

« We were welcomed very well the first time, but when we returned, the staff had completely changed. Our accommodation wasn't clean; there was dirt under the bed and lots of cobwebs on the ceiling. Furthermore, when they serviced our room the next day, the trash bins weren't even emptied. »

« First of all the staff was nice and helpful and that’s important, so no issue there. However, rooms without breakfast? Really? If you do accommodation do it thoroughly and do it right. This isn’t! £138 without breakfast for a mediocre room and no breakfast is a big NO for us. Way too expensive for what it is and sorry to say, no we won’t be back, and no I won’t recommend. You need to seriously up your game. »

« Enjoyed our stay at the plough. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent. Room was a little small but well appointed, with tea making facilities, iron and ironing board, heater/ fan and hair drier. Bed comfortable. 1k from the centre of Hathersage, lots of parking for residents and bus stops outside. »
