'Perfect hotel for me, my partner, and dog! Other hotels and airbnbs in the area were extra expensive and/or not pet-friendly due to LDW, and we didn’t want to spend $1,000+ for just a 3-night stay. If you’re looking for a hotel that’s affordable, perfectly located, has a lot of outdoor activities, very dog friendly, and a midwest/vintage charm, Sun & Sand is a great choice. 'We only stayed for one night for my husband’s birthday and wished we could stay longer. Excellent location, walking distance to many restaurants, shops, lake. A lot of restaurants are short staffed, so try to be patient. Super convenient Biggby location right there. Staff was friendly and informative. Clean rooms, vending machines onsite, books and games in the lobby. I guess my only disappointment was that the balcony was not private, it was just a standard long balcony for all rooms, not...

'The amenities were adequate, breakfast was ample, readily available, with a very good selection (Waffles, cold cereals, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, yogurt, coffee, orange juice, fresh fruits, and more. The bed was comfortable, lighting was sufficient, and temperature controls worked as needed. There were other amenities which we did not need or use, such as a laundry area, vending machines, pool, and lounging area near lobby. Adding benches or chairs outside entrances/exits would be nice...

'The rooms were over the top with amenities, and probably the cleanest room I have stayed in ever. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Huge outside sitting area with fire places. Inside bar in lobby. Small store next to desk with food and drinks as well as any toiletries you may have forgotten to bring. This hotel could easily charge a lot more for these rooms than they do. I will be staying here again for sure in the future.'
