'Hotel Bel Ami is een erg fijn hotel op een goede locatie in Parijs, vlakbij vele bezienswaardigheden en de metro. De bedden waren fantastisch, kamers ruim, lounge en ontbijtruimte verzorgd en ontspannend en de service goed en persoonlijk. Het ontbijt is wel erg prijzig en de inrichting van enkele kamers iets gedateerder dan die van anderen. Al met al een erg prettig verblijf gehad.'

It was not safe to enter through the main doors on Sunday (we would have to step in the street with incoming traffic). We had to go through the brasserie to make our way to our room. 'This is an outstanding boutique hotel in a great area of Paris for dining and shopping. The area is the “SoHo” of Paris and closest major attractions are Luxembourg Gardens and Notre Dame, both about a 10 minute walk. Staff is outstanding and friendly and rooms are on the smaller end (as are most European hotels) but well-designed and appointed with good showers and heated floors in the bathroom. Prices also fair. 'This hotel is romantic, but far from practical: there is no tv in the room, but the lightning in the room is far too weak for being able to read or do something else. Also is everything small (shower cabin, bath,…) and the positioning of the door handles is very low. The chairs in the breakfeast room might be very cosy to rest in, but again not practical for eating breakfast.
