'We had a wonderful stay at No. 5 Valley Lodge. The staffs were so helpful and friendly. Frankie was the best. He arranged everything for us from national park tickets, meals, transportation. Anything we ever needed. They were also available through wechat at all times if we had any questions. The hotel is far from downtown (if you want to go to other destinations) but very close to Zhangjiajie NP. Highly recommend this place and we would absolutely book again if we come back. '

'Very nice hotel in the mountains with a good view. The hotel was decorated very nice for Christmas. The indoor swimming pool is not open year round like I thought though and the restaurants close earlier during non-peak travel season so rely on room service if you want food late (it was good food).'

'Een zeer groot luxieus hotel. We hadden een prachtige grote business kamer. Het personeel kon weinig engels maar was zeer behulpzaam. Het hotel ligt zeer gunstig tov het vliegveld. Binnen 20 minuten ben je daar. Verder dicjt bij Tian,en mountains. Nadeel is dat er binnen nog gerookt wordt. '

'Trotz Buchungbestätigung bei Expedia mussten wir leider feststellen, dass das Hotel geschlossen war! Da war eine tolle Überraschung, im strömenden Regen eine neue Unterkunft zu suchen! Vielen Dank! '

'If you want to stay in the country side with no room service, no restaurant, outdoor bathroom (which I don’t recommend in the winter) then this is the hotel for you. It is probably not the best option for tourists that are visiting Zhangjiajie as it in an isolated area. The hotel itself is clean, and the views are amazing! It was a good experience but it wasn’t what I had hoped.'

'Poor isolation and construction works / heavy traffic right in front. Friendly stuff but some don’t even try to understand what you are saying with signs (no English at all). They could not even tell where the entrance of the natural park is on a map. I will not recommend. Cleaning had some room for improvement.'
