Madeira: Golfvakanties

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The grounds are lovely and well maintained, and the large swimming pool is a real plus. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and having a kitchen was very convenient. The parking was also easy and convenient, which was especially useful as we had a rental car. The staff were polite and helpful, and we enjoyed the breakfast. We only tried dinner at the hotel once. It was fine, but there are several good restaurants nearby, and we personally preferred the options outside the hotel. One negative point was the old air-conditioning unit, which was quite noisy and made it difficult to sleep. Also, at check-out, a €1 charity donation was added to our bill without asking us or informing us beforehand what the charge was for. We only noticed it when checking the bill. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and found the hotel to be a comfortable and convenient base for exploring Madeira.

Very good hotel with bar-restaurant, swimming pool, spa-(services). The hotel is on 20/30 min walking distance (down-hill, so walking back is uphill) from the shopping mall, harbour/boulevard. A welcoming drink, happy hour (discount on drinks). Free shuttle service to the mall @ some times a day available. The restaurant has a very good menu card and very good and friendly services. The garden-diner can be recommended. Excellent quality, price, wine, services, and mingle with people (if you are not afraid of that). AC bedroom, good, clean beds and water, coffee/tea available @ the room.

The hotel is very charming, and the surrounding gardens are beautiful and spacious. Big swimming-pool and lots of space to relax. The city-centre is easily reachable by short Uber-ride (they also have a free transfer at the hotel). The quinta itself is stunning and has many historic features. Our room was big and the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a decent size. However the room was slightly musty and felt a little overused - nothing to worry though. A highlight was certainly the breakfast. Many choices and outstanding quality. The staff has been very friendly throughout.

It's a beautiful resort. The apartments are superbly located. We had a truly stunning view of Funchal, the harbor, and all the boats. A fantastic, luxurious apartment, delicious food on the golf course, a wonderful day at the spa, and a lovely afternoon tea at the hotel. It was fantastic, and we will definitely be back.

We had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel is a little dated and could benefit from some updating. The air conditioning wasn’t very effective, so the room was quite warm at times. On the positive side, our room had good sound insulation, The pool is on the smaller side, and the hotel parking is limited to around 10 cars. If there is no space available, you may need to look for parking across the road. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The selection was fairly basic, so we would recommend trying some of the restaurants in town for dinner. On the positive side, the staff were friendly, helpful and always responsive. The location is excellent — just about 6 minutes by car from the airport and only a couple of minutes’ walk from a beautiful sandy beach.

Mooi verblijf, schoon, kamer ruim genoeg. Ontbijt prima! Restaurants allen op loop afstand en kan je er heerlijk eten. De mogelijkheid om ook in de oceaan te zwemmen is top!!! Wij hadden zeezicht. Locatie is niet ver van het vliegveld. Parkeren van onze huurauto was wel een dingetje, er zijn een beperkt aantal onbetaalde parkeerplaatsen (geel) , het merendeel is betaald parkeren (dag ca €7,50)
