'Nice old pub with accomodation on 10 minutes walking from York centre.'

'Only has likes. Staff were all brilliant. They were helpful, obliging and keen to do a good job. Room was well appointed, and the beds were super comfortable.'

'Nice quiet and clean rooms, right next to York Minster. There's no lift so be prepared to climb a couple of stairs. Overall certainly worth its money.'

'Don't drive, arrive by train and everything can be walked from here. Vibrant city centre location so can be noisy at night. Room standards vary from the amazing to the basic so worth paying more. 4* as we got a basic room night 1 but then they moved us to amazing room! Food and staff were really 5*.'

'Stayed here on business and ticket all the right boxes. The room was a bit warm though, despite that the heat had dropped off these last few days. Nice bar area and nice selection of ales. The restaurant was in a real pretty setting. Easy parking in the vicinity of the hotel and they even had parking spaces in front of the rooms which are at the back of the property. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff. '
