'Beautiful 18th Century pub in quiet village location. Taken to room, lovely decor, big bed, bathroom was a little tired. Shower had no hot water when I tried at 4.30pm, thankfully had some the following morning. Had a wonderful night sleep, a shame some kind of breakfast is not included in the price. Welcoming staff and lovely locals. Would I stay again, yes. '

'Lovely location and staff very friendly and helpful'

'Well worth a visit for good food and nice staff'

'Heel tevreden over het hotel, de service en de maaltijden. Zeer verzorgt. Vriendelijk personeel. Voor herhaling vatbaar.'

'Het is een superoude inn. Kamers zijn klein maar leuk door de autenticiteit. Personeel is geweldig, ontbijt uitgebreid. Leuk wandelen langs de Theems. Heerlijke tuin. '

'Hotel minder modern en netjes dan het aangrenzende restaurant/café. Kamer moet dringend worden ge-update. Waarom altijd dat kamerbreed tapijt? Heel slechte matras en superklein, ouderwets, bed. Badkamer vrij ok.'

'Really a nice place and something different than all others. Recommend it if you are looking for a cosy place with nice restaurant. The bed and room is great. Just one minus. Breakfast starts at 8 but we got notified it would be 9 because no staff. We paid for it and got some toast and some cerials but was a bit of a downer. If I don't need to have early breakfast I would go again. Colese to highway and Highclere castle by the way.'

'Nice place to stay and good ambiance'

'Nothing too special, but the rooms are good size and in good condition. Friendly staff. Food was above expectation and better than the usual hotel fare. '

'Heel leuk oud gebouw, prachtige binnenplaats, prima parkeergelegenheid. Douchevloer (kamer 6) zeer glad.'

'Nice hotel some miles of the motorway. Quiet place although sounds from restaurant below were easily heard in the room of my collegue in front of the hotel. Nice large bathroom. No hairdryer.'
