The facility was modern, clean and safe with scanning in to and out of the building. However I had the worst check in experience. My fiancé and I arrived around 1:30am attempting to check in. We were informed that the reservation was “no showed”. The front desk young lady stated that the company website says that you have to call to avoid your reservation from being cancelled. After this, she began to say that the hotel was “over sold” and that here were no rooms for the evening. I did inquire if our room was sold out for the night and never got a direct answer. She then kept repeating that there was nothing that she could do as we purchased from a 3rd party site. She also said that she could not reinstate the reservation unless I paid again for another room! At that point, we checked the website and saw that it was “preferred” that you call but not mandatory for the stay or to keep the reversion in tact. Expedia states that the hotel has 24/7 front desk and check in after 4pm without a cut off time. After much discussion she was able to “jot it down and work it out”. This felt weird as I thought the room was not available? In any case, we stayed one night and left very frustrated in the end. Either more information needs to be shared from the hotel or at least the front desk reach out before a last minute cancellation is made.
