'This cottage was a great place to have a quiet retreat. Close drive to both smaller and larger area towns. Beautiful country road drives and close to the interstate if desired. All immenties I required for cooking were onsite. Ferne was a great host. Showed us around and answered questions upon arrival. She has created a large binder that provides all kinds of information about the surrounding areas. Front porch views from the swing were relaxing. Would definitely recommend if you want to get...

'I stayed at the Secluded Cabin for a halfway stop on a trip back to Ohio from South Carolina. Real close to I-77, which is awesome. The cabin is fantastic. Once inside you wouldn't think you were in a cabin on top of a mountain basically. Little small touches of decor inside and outside with plantings made it all the better. They had everything I needed to cook and grill there, except the food of course. The property outside is well maintined. I saw deer and hummingbirds while sitting on the...

15. Rustic Romantic Bayberry Cottage at Autumn Ridge

Lexington

'For our first visit to the Natural Bridge State Park area, we chose to stay at a Vrbo property nearby in the Lexington , VA area. The Rustic Bayberry property nailed it on every category. We had great communications from the property owner & truly enjoyed our time there. Due to 100 feel like temps on the July 4th weekend, we found ourselves at the property most afternoons relaxing as the property’s cooling system was a welcomed item during the heat. Thanks to the Meads for a fabulous...

16. Deerfield Honeymoon Cottage at Autumn Ridge

Lexington

'We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the cottage! Heather responded quickly to messages. I do feel like there could be some areas of improvement with cleaning as all the picture ledges, lamp shades and some of the walls have layers of dust and I’m not sure if the place was swept or vacuumed before we came.
