'The house is set back from the road down a rural lane surrounded by fields and woods which were beautiful even in December. The ranch style home was good for the 6 of us. The bookshelves and cupboards are loaded with items from the 50s and are interesting to explore. The kitchen is equipped with a flat top stove, 2 ovens, microwave, and a dishwasher with plenty of glassware and dishes. 'I have no idea how this place has such high ratings. Although initially the check in clerk was kind and somewhat helpful, my stay at this hostel was disgustingly bad. I opted for a private room which was actually not even close to what the misleading ad boasted. It was very hot with no thermostat to adjust the temperature and it was also very dirty. The entire place smelled like the combination of a filthy college dorm room and a musty locker room. It was rather disgusting. I booked the room to...
