'We stayed here for a girlfriends 3 night weekend get away. We really enjoyed Vern's cabin !!The cabin had everything we needed. It is very peaceful and serene there. We really enjoyed the patio for coffee in the morning, the fire pit at night, and watching the river. We saw & heard lots of birds, eagles & Blue Herons....Bunnies and a big turtle too. The cabin is not fancy but it is perfect for a get away. Redwing is right there and we had a lot of fun shopping, eating out, and checking out...

'My two young sons and I had a very nice visit to The Boathouse. The lake is well used but not busy and the water is calm. We spent our time on the kayaks, fishing from the dock, and on land with a fire to warm up the cool summer evenings. The Boathouse is well-kept, comfortable, and charming and the hosts are delightful and generous. The drive into the twin cities is very easy. I would definitely recommend. '

'Steps from the lake, great deck with lots of seating. Fully loaded tech package, wifi, sonos sound system throughout, and smart tv. '

'We have spent a long weekend here several years in a row now and it's always a fantastic spot. We definitely are looking forward to returning again. '

'3 places to eat and drink just across the street, Tree lined streets and Military appreciation park was next to the property. The house had an open kitchen-dining room with comfortable couches in the living room. Three bedrooms meet the sleeping needs for the 5 of us. Only one bath worked out- no lingering.We enjoyed the trails and cool swimming beach at nearby White Water State park. '

'We had a great stay here with our grandkids, so much space and plenty to do, the weather wasn’t the greatest but stopped raining just in time for our buggy ride, Elizabeth was wonderful!'

'Nice get away from the city. - Good size lot for kids to play; we played a lot football - Great size fire pit to enjoy - Great size dining table to enjoy meals and play board games - It will be helpful to inform guest no basic condomens not available - salt pepper, oil etc. Will be good to know to bring with - Wish utensils were of better quality, additional quantity and better organized - Train noise was communicated can be very loud at times and every 20 mins or so - Sulphur smell in the...

'This is a great property. Peaceful, surrounded by fields & forests, birds singing, and fresh air. Wonderful parks and trails near by. Dan was a great host. I want to come back and stay in the fall and winter. This would also be a great place for a family get away'
