Blokhutten in Stokesdale

'I arrived with an intention: introduce my daughter to Thoreau, spark a few good conversations, and leave with a memory or two. What I didn't anticipate was leaving with a renewed faith in my fellow human beings. The cabin is extraordinary — a to-scale replica of the Walden dwelling, built with the kind of care that tells you the owners understand why it matters, not just what it looks like. But the cabin is almost beside the point once you step onto the grounds. This is a working farm with life...

'What a beautiful cabin tucked away off the road. You’ll think you’re driving into a scary movie but then it opens up to the most beautiful view. Truly sleeping under the stars. Very clean cabin, would 100% stay again.'

'An amazing house, perfect for our family group. Our host was easy to communicate with and helped to make our stay pleasant.'

'In the renters defense I booked with only 24 hours notice, I should have taken a hint when I didn’t get the email. Once contact was made, the rest went fine. Renter was kind and apologetic about the communication issues. Had more time been given i am sure the home would have been ready. It’s a beautiful private location, just not for the price offered, in my humble opinion.'
