'We had a wonderful stay for one night in the Quidi Vidi room. Then we came back at the end of our trip for four nights and stayed in Port Royal room, and this one was much bigger with bigger bathroom. Both rooms were on the first floor. The manor was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of yogurt, muffins, cereal, as well as eggs freshly made with toasts and bacon or sausage. Juice, coffee, tea and milk. 'In het algemeen goed, hier en daar kleine gebreken maar het hinderde me niet. Wel smaakvol ingericht. Geen receptie aanwezig, je krijgt voldoende instructies hoe je er komt. '

'Great stay. Petty Harbour room with private bathroom. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Loved the private bathroom with shower and Native brand shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Breakfast was a definite highlight during which the owner Rob offered recommendations and advice on the local sites, stories, and jokes a plenty. Fantastic location. Would absolutely stay again.'

'Wistful location and a beautiful room. Very large with a nice sitting area, decorated with a spa like touch. Very comfy bed, waffle towels and bathrobe. Local toiletries to make you feel connected to the area. Conveniently located across the street from one of the best restaurants in St John’s the Mallard Cottage. An authentic experience all around with a luxury touch!'

'Had to ask for housekeeping to clean the room. The pool area was never monitored, as small kids vomited in the hot tub. As well the hot tub jets were out of service on 2 different occasions. Service at the restaurant was not the greatest. For the most part, my week went well, but this was a lot of issues for a 5 night stay.'

'We vonden ontvangst beetje koeltjes, wat later wel iets beter werd. We kregen een kamer op de 4e etage, een suite, dat woord vonden we iets overdreven, de lift ging tot de 3e! Als je meerdere dagen blijft is dat wel een ding met zware koffers. Het bed was echt een drama. Netjes was het wel, het had een bepaalde uitstraling, iets wat gedateerd. In het toilet staat het water zo hoog dat je hand soms nat werd. Ontbijt, niet echt bijster goed.Geen brood/broodjes soms verpakte croissants, geen...

'Breakfast at little Sparo was fabulous Room was terrible, very depressing, not sure why we had a handicap room, asked for harbour view, even though we booked 3 months in advance , & gave us parking lot view! Staff was just ok, not too helpful regarding any enquires we had about the area. Wouldn’t stay at Doubletree again!'
