« Reality check! All comments before us were 4 and 5 stars but it’s not…it’s a 3 stars. Maybe once upon a time in the west it was a 5 stars but ain’t anymore but still have potential to be a 5 stars. This cottage is located in the rich countryside of Ocala so if you’re looking for an experience on a real ranch, this isn’t the place. Max one of the owners on site is friendly, they have two friendly dogs also . We did appreciate our stay but…gotta admit that it was a little bit boring after 4 days....

« We've were amazed by Terresa from start finish. Her communication and the amount of detailed information she had provided regarding her beautiful cottage and even restaurant suggestions and places of interest, was over the top. If looking for an over the top place to stay , look no farther. No more searching for us, our next visit to the area will be at The Turtle Cottage. »

« The listing indicated the rental was a house. However it is almost a studio apartment attached to a house.The space itself was clean and convenient for my overnight stay. Future renters should be aware there are dogs on the property that are quite vocal and the refrigerator is dorm sized but cold. »

« The place was adorable. Loved the cemetery across the street. Very pretty area on road off the cemetery. Nice walk in the morning. Saw deer and a bunch of cattle. »

« We were visiting family in The Villages and needed a place to stay. We enjoyed the spacious yet compact space—living area, kitchen, bedroom, bath with large shower, walk in closet and laundry room. We parked in the driveway but that was the only space to be outside at this time. It was fine as we were mostly with family elsewhere. »

« Everything you would need except a dishwasher. Fortunately it was only me. Otherwise, dishes could be a bit of a hassle with no dish rack/drying area. I still enjoyed the use of it for what I was there to do. Large TV’s in every room and great Wi-Fi. As far as the property manager goes, if you mean the host, he lives across the street and was very helpful. The contact people from the website are absolutely useless if you have a question. I received not one single response. »

« We needed a place to evacuate to from our coastal home during Hurricane Milton. The owners are kind and generous. We have everything we need here and were able to extend our trip a couple days since we do not have power at home yet. We are still here and enjoy the quiet now after the storm. The house is comfortable and decorated beautifully. We want to bring our kids back here during the summer for a family trip to visit the area and do some trail hiking. « We checked in Friday and stayed the weekend. Great space, Rooms are all good size. Lanai space is awesome. We fished and watched fish and Gators off the dock area. Plenty of space for our big family and friends to spend the day. »
