'I visited in the off-season, but being in a hotel on the water was fantastic. I caught two beautiful sunsets the weekend I was there, and from the back parking lot of the hotel, you can walk to the embankment of yard where it meets the Bogue Sound. My hotel room was great; breakfast was good. My only minor issue is that the pillows were not as solid as some others I've slept on at Hilton/Hampton hotels, but that's an easy fix: bring your own pillows. I shouldn't have assumed they'd be the same...

'Disappointed the beach bar was not open yet and there were no lounge chairs avaliable yet for the beach. We enjoyed the inside bar in the evening. The staff were all very nice. The hotel was overall nice and clean. '

'First when i arrived inside my hotel room i noticed that the entrance door had a gap from the floor to the end of the actual door. So as im sleeping i can see people shoes walk back and forth from outside my room. The walls were thin as well you can hear the entire converstation happening between the two rooms that your in between. The mattress was the worst part, the sheets had stains on them, the pillows were a brown color underneath the pillow case, the carpet was not swept upon arrival, lots...

'If you are not expecting much then this is the place for you. Humid unless the a/c runs at 68 degrees and uncomfortable beds and ratty carpet and old appliances. '
