Renters BEWARE!!When our family of 10 arrived, there were minor inconveniences (dog poop in âno petâ yard, missing/broken trash can lids, dirty dishes in cabinet, spiderwebs, trash, & dead bugs throughout house, construction 3 houses down, marks on several walls, & lights that didnât work above the sinks in the 2 upstairs bathrooms), some of which we knew about, but the rest we just took care of or overlooked. Our host, Samuel, was very responsive prior to booking & at the start of the trip until there was an issue. At 10pm on the 4th night of our week long stay, the fire alarms went off & then quit 2 times. No one was cooking or doing anything with fire. We went around the property & checked to make sure, but found nothing. Around 11pm they started up again & wouldnât stop. I sent a message explaining the situation. We were told to remove the batteries from the smoke detectors. I stated we had already done so, however, the smoke detector having the issue was at the top of the ceiling in the stairwell & unable to be reached w/o a ladder (as were the ones in the upstairs bedrooms & the great room). We sent numerous messages & heard nothing until 8:30am the next day stating they would escalate it to their maintenance team & resolve it as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, no one came until 2:30pm, so the alarms were going off for over 16 HOURS! Samuelâs best offer was an insulting 33.37 refund, knowing we lost an evening of sleep & 1/2 day of our vacation. Very disappointed!
