'We stayed for a week in February, and it was fabulous. The weather was a bit damp on and off, but the Grooms Bothy was always warm and welcoming. (I want underfloor heating!). It’s well equipped, close to Kelso for everything you need, and in a quiet and pretty location. The owners live next door, and a with their 2 little dogs are friendly and on hand if you need something. The welcome pack of milk, snacks and wine was a lovely touch. The Borders are lovely, we really enjoyed travelling...

'We were a group aged nine to eighty. There was a lot on offer to cater for us all. There were nine of us and the place was big enough for us to spread out and enjoy varying activities. A bus stop outside going into Edinburgh was a bonus. Would highly recommend it. Does Scotland proud!'
