'This is not a hotel. It is a house that rents rooms out. That said, it was clean and fine for a one night stay. I was not sent check in instructions, so I had to call them when I arrived to see how to access my room.'

'Although we almost turned around upon walking down the block towards the guest house, I am glad we stayed there. Paul, the custodian, was charming and helpful, the facilities were adequate, and access to food make a simple breakfast was nice, but every room should have a fan. We appreciated the price, but will not stay there again.'

'Alle kamers zijn op de 1e verdieping dus je moet een trap op. Het heerlijke ontbijt wordt op de overloop neergezet en je eet op je kamer. Op de overloop is een koelkast, heel handig! Het is een boerderij met schapen en koeien, leuk om te zien. In de omgeving is niets te doen, je moet er met de auto op uit maar in de Cotswolds zijn veel lieve dorpen dus je verveelt je niet.'

'The room is big as well as the bathroom. Free parking onsite was a bonus. What I really don’t like is below our window they loaded after a party in the hotel, a van until 2am which made us not being able to sleep. This should not be allowed by the hotel. '

'Avonpark House is a very good travellers rest. Comfortable and clean, our room was a reasonable size as was the ensuite. It’s a walkable distance into the centre of town. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Good parking available and an excellent breakfast.'

'Decent on paper, disappointing in reality. The room looked fine in the photos but fell short in person. We were on the ground floor and arrived to a strong smell of cigarettes - the throw blanket had a burn hole in it, suggesting a previous guest had smoked despite the advertised £100 fine. There was pink staining on the shower floor and the only chair had a broken spindle on the back - when I went to move it, the top rail separated entirely from the remaining spindles and I had to pop it back...
