'Prima hotel, op doorreis of als uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes in de omgeving. Kamer, badkamer en bedden waren goed. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid, met vers fruit (aardbeiden, frambozen, blauwe bessen), yoghurt en ruime keuze in Engelse ontbijt-varianten met ei, bacon etc. Ook het avondeten was er prima. Vlak naast het hotel zijn er Tesla oplaadpunten, die ook door niet-Tesla's gebruikt kunnen worden, en die met hoge snelheid kunnen laden. Handig!'

'Our stay at the links was more than expected, lovely clean, warm room, excellent bathroom facilities, very friendly reception staff, excellent location for local ammienties and exploring the local area, a great little cafe next door where you can get a tasty breakfast served by friendly staff.i would fully recommend a stay at the links,we will certainly be returning '

'vlakbij treinstation, ideaal wanneer je met het openbaar vervoer reist. hotel heeft een nieuwe eigenaar en alles is opnieuw geverfd en het interieur van het hotel en de slaapkamers is allemaal vernieuwd. ziet er goed uit. het ontbijt "continental"mag uitgebreider zijn o.a met kaas, vleeswaren en een gekookt ei. verder zou ik de menukaart ook uitbreiden met meer europese gerechten. '

'Lovely stay in a quaint area. Beach walks from the doorstep and our dog was treated well throughout the stay. The outdoor dog wash was really handy too! Food was delicious and bed was comfy'

'De kamers zijn onberispelijk, het personeel en nieuwe eigenaren Allison en Graham zijn erg vriendelijk en gastvrij. Het ontbijt was een prima English breakfast met voldoende keuze. Koffie was goed! Wij gebruikten de locatie als uitvalsbasis naar Holy Island en de Northumbrian coastline. Het strand waaraan dit hotel ligt - Spittal beach - is niet echt bijzonder. De stad zelf is historisch prachtig met zijn bruggen en stadsmuur. '

'Lovely vibrant period property '

'Room was lovely everything well thought of , 2nd visit to Newton hall but 1st visit to the garden rooms , only downfall was central heating box in hallway so kept having to go out to turn it up toom didn’t get that warm but I guess it was -2 , and also kettle had to be put on floor to be plugged in to use it which wasn’t the best '

'A really lovely hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, very well maintained and spotless hotel, our room was spacious with a fantastic terrace overlooking the castle, large well appointed bathroom. Excellent food in the restaurant. My wife is coeliac and they knew exactly how to cater for her dietary requirements, nothing was too much trouble. And the location is perfect, across the road from the castle and short walk to the local shops, bars and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again '
