'We stayed at Alkyon Hotel for 3 nights before travelling on to Skopelos and I couldn’t recommend this hotel more! It was so convenient being 5 minutes drive from the airport and on the sea front. It was less than 5 minutes walk from the main strip of restaurants along the front of the port but slightly out of the main town area so was quiet at night. 'The is hotel was ok we only stayed there for 2 night when we arrived they told us that the room we booked there was a problem with it they wanted us to stay in a another room for the first and change rooms for our second, The breakfast was nice just to make other travellers aware it’s about 3.5 km from the main resort you got to have a taxi. We would not stay again or recommend it sorry'

'Decent hotel but the location on a very busy road wasn’t ideal. Constant noise from quad bikes and motorbikes late into the night made it impossible to enjoy the pool during the day and kept us awake at night. A steep 10 minute walk up from the port and very handy for bars and restaurants in the Old Town. 'Wardrobe had a light in which kept clicking all night keeping us awake. People outside the hotel used the pool and beach seats making it difficult to get a seat. We did not get to go around the pool. Food choice was very poor if you are a vegetarian. Had the poorest food ever in Skiathos around the pool bar - tasteless chicken and cod bites.
