'Giannis was excellent - could not have been more helpful. The room itself was beautiful, partner found the bed a little too firm but I thought it was perfect. Free minibar was a nice perk. I wish the pool hours were longer but I understand from a liability perspective. The vending machine in the lobby was an excellent touch. Room was kept lovely and clean! 'Staff was very friendly and view from our small but clean, comfortable room was amazing! The downside is that you have to haul your luggage up an old stone walkway and staircase to check in at The Water hotel. Unfortunately, our bags were 50 lbs (23kg) each. Luckily, a staffer offered to take them the rest of the way to our room at The Rock, which is more old stone stairs up to an old stone walkway away. There are no elevators. Thank goodness for Alberto!'

'The rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower was great. Breakfast was good, with a few different options. The pool is clean and a good size with lots of sub beds around it. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Brilliant views of the mountains and the sea to the other side.'

'We stayed at Alkyon Hotel for 3 nights before travelling on to Skopelos and I couldn’t recommend this hotel more! It was so convenient being 5 minutes drive from the airport and on the sea front. It was less than 5 minutes walk from the main strip of restaurants along the front of the port but slightly out of the main town area so was quiet at night. 'Het hotel heeft een prachtig uitzicht op zee. Ligt 4 minuten lopen van het centrum maar wel heel rustig. De service van het personeel en de eigenaars is zéér goed. We hadden een late vlucht naar huis.Het uitchecken is om 12.00 uur. Geen probleem,de koffers werden opgeslagen. We mochten nog de hele dag gebruik maken van het zwembad. Konden douchen (schone handdoeken, shampoo enz) We gingen s’avonds relaxt naar de luchthaven.'

There are quite a number of steps if you are walking from the pool or bar and restaurant area so may not be suited with those with accessibility needs. 'Wardrobe had a light in which kept clicking all night keeping us awake. People outside the hotel used the pool and beach seats making it difficult to get a seat. We did not get to go around the pool. Food choice was very poor if you are a vegetarian. Had the poorest food ever in Skiathos around the pool bar - tasteless chicken and cod bites. When reported to the restaurant about the limited choice we were told that is all they’ve got - no attempt to address it or improve. In the end we ate...

'Nice and newly renovated property. Not too far from town, but not walking distance. We took taxis and the water taxi a couple times. Only disappointment was our rooms that had children booked in each were not placed on the same floor. I think they could’ve made a greater effort to ensure this since we booked well in advance. Pool side service also lacked enthusiasm but the bar was near enough that this wasn’t a great inconvenience. Would stay there again.'
