'The rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower was great. Breakfast was good, with a few different options. The pool is clean and a good size with lots of sub beds around it. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Brilliant views of the mountains and the sea to the other side.'

'Het hotel heeft een prachtig uitzicht op zee. Ligt 4 minuten lopen van het centrum maar wel heel rustig. De service van het personeel en de eigenaars is zéér goed. We hadden een late vlucht naar huis.Het uitchecken is om 12.00 uur. Geen probleem,de koffers werden opgeslagen. We mochten nog de hele dag gebruik maken van het zwembad. Konden douchen (schone handdoeken, shampoo enz) We gingen s’avonds relaxt naar de luchthaven.'

'Clean and quiet room. I really enjoyed my stay here and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Driver Capitano Aaron was very hospitable and always free to drive me round the compound. Staff were also helpful arranging taxis and airport transfers. Thanks so much'

'We had a great stay at Margi House. The room was beautifully furnished, and the outdoor jacuzzi was so lovely. The hill, which many mentioned, wasn’t too bad and was easily doable. The receptionist was super helpful and friendly - always with a smile on her face. Just a few things that could be improved: our coffee & water glasses weren’t cleaned until the last day. Since we didn’t have a kitchenette, this would have been nice. The main pool was lovely, but we did have to fish out a lot of bugs...

'Staff was very friendly and view from our small but clean, comfortable room was amazing! The downside is that you have to haul your luggage up an old stone walkway and staircase to check in at The Water hotel. Unfortunately, our bags were 50 lbs (23kg) each. Luckily, a staffer offered to take them the rest of the way to our room at The Rock, which is more old stone stairs up to an old stone walkway away. There are no elevators. Thank goodness for Alberto!'

'We stayed at Alkyon Hotel for 3 nights before travelling on to Skopelos and I couldn’t recommend this hotel more! It was so convenient being 5 minutes drive from the airport and on the sea front. It was less than 5 minutes walk from the main strip of restaurants along the front of the port but slightly out of the main town area so was quiet at night. 'Wardrobe had a light in which kept clicking all night keeping us awake. People outside the hotel used the pool and beach seats making it difficult to get a seat. We did not get to go around the pool. Food choice was very poor if you are a vegetarian. Had the poorest food ever in Skiathos around the pool bar - tasteless chicken and cod bites. When reported to the restaurant about the limited choice we were told that is all they’ve got - no attempt to address it or improve. In the end we ate...
