Our home is recently renovated, with all new appliances, and brand new furniture.
An open layout design from kitchen to the various living spaces, you'll find this is a perfect home to get together with your loved ones, be it friends or family.
The four bedrooms on the upstairs level of this home are private from one another, all with new furniture, beds & queen-size Tuft and Needle mattresses. You'll find yourselves comfortable staying here for a weekend, or for far longer than that.
We have tried to create a space that feels like home to us, and so any ways we can improve your stay, please share with us, as we are more than happy to entertain requests. It is the perfect getaway for NYC dwellers who wish to be amidst nature.
For those loving the outdoors, we are flanked by dozens of local hiking trails in the area as well as the Rail Trail, a beautiful car-free walkway open to only cyclists, walkers, joggers, and strollers. Of course, we never could forget the Walkway over the Hudson that connects Highland and Poughkeepsie: the longest pedestrian bridge in the world. A stroll here during sunrise & sunset will make for beautiful views and fresh, clean air. We are also a 30-minute drive from the Mohonk Preserve as well as the gorgeous and bountiful Minnewaska State Park Preserve.
The home is around 80 miles from Manhattan, a short drive of around 1.5 hours from NYC's five boroughs.
Inside the home, you'll find two large living spaces, a well-designed dining space & an open-concept kitchen that will allow for multiple people to work together, of particular interest to those groups who enjoy cooking together. You'll find a well-stocked selection of kitchen utensils, pots & pans along with other kitchen appliances to use for your leisure.
In the living space beside the kitchen, you'll find an oversized Smart TV for communal viewing & with plenty of streaming content. Sound from the TV is delivered to you via a Sonos Playbar for optimal sound. This connects with AirPlay-enabled Sonos speakers throughout the home for your acoustic pleasure.
A washer/dryer is also available for your use in a separate, well-stocked laundry room.
Upstairs, you'll find 3 bedrooms, all with queen-sized beds. A luggage rack is also available in each room. You'll also find a full bathroom on the upper floor.
Finally, you'll find the centerpiece of the upstairs: a grand and spacious master bedroom, complete with an en-suite master bathroom that boasts a double-sink vanity, a jetted tub & standing shower.
Minutes away from the wonderful, quaint little town of New Paltz and bustling Poughkeepsie, you'll find something for everybody in your group. With tons of food & local shopping options, you'll find you can spend hours here walking around & exploring the area. New Paltz is one of our favorite towns in all of New York. Vegetarians & vegans (like ourselves) will likewise find a plethora of options to enjoy yourselves.
The town offers everything you’d want for a getaway—an eventful nightlife with fine dining, unique bars, a movie theater with the latest indie and foreign films, and more. There’s plenty of shopping plus casual eateries for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Nearby you'll also find major supermarkets to pick up whatever you may need for your stay.
