'The place was clean, bright and just as pictured. There is no dedicated parking but we never had a problem finding a spot close to the place. '

We were there through some bad weather and the house was cosy and warm - and prepped for our comfort on arrival which made all the difference.We spent a day hiking in Minnewaska Nature Park which was beautiful and just down the road.'

'Super clean, great water pressure in the shower, and plenty of room for 2 people. The hosts are lovely, great with communication and will likely greet you at check in. If you're looking for a quiet and private place for a long weekend, this is a great option. The town of Shokan is super tiny and has very few dining and/or grocery options, so you'd have to head to Woodstock, Kingston or Phoenicia for legit breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinking options, but all are just a 15-25 minute drive away. '

'We enjoyed our 5 night stay. The unit was clean and comfortable. As others may have mentioned, there is some noise from the nearby train track and bars, but that didn’t bother us much. We really appreciated the noise cancelling machine that was provided. One suggestion for improvement would be to make it explicit to guests that the backyard (incl. grill & hot tub) are shared between the upstairs and downstairs units. As guests in the upstairs unit, it felt awkward to hang out in the backyard,...

'This is an "upgraded" camping experience! A peaceful setting for outdoor living, exceptionally private. Super convenient to Minnewaska. Everything you need amd exactly as described, plenty of seating for a larger group and sleeping tent/yurt makes inclement weather less of a concern than a regular tent or backpacking setup. Definitely stay here!'
