'Our stay at Steve's cottage last week was nothing short of magical. The highlight, without a doubt, was the **absolutely spectacular sunset view over Penn Lake, right from the private dock. Winding down each evening watching the sky explode in color over the calm water was an unforgettable experience – a view truly rare to find and worth the trip alone!The lake itself felt alive and welcoming. We loved watching the big fish swimming right under the deck and were charmed daily by a sweet family...

'The property is beautiful, and very well maintained. It was great to spend the days with the kids playing lacrosse, and playing with the dogs on the very large yard, then off to the lake to cool off. Kitchen was a great size for all guests to eat and easily cook meals. The games room was an amazing place to play cards, pool, or just sit and chat in the evening, or the kids would go up to watch a moving or read to get away from everyone. Unfortunately the check out process asked us to throw away garbage (which is quite normal and on its own ok) but also to stripe our sheets and towels and do a load before we leave.We are paying a hefty cleaning fee and saw there were extra sheets in the cabinet so the rush for us to do this and ask for us made it feel like a sour end to an otherwise great trip. We had to rush to make our tee time and check out. I was somewhat embarrassed...

"De ligging aan het water was prachtig. Het huisje was in slechte staat, alles was scheef en beschadigd en het zag er vies uit. Het maakt niet uit als iets oud is, als het maar onderhouden en schoon is. Als je over de lichtschakelaars in de badkamer heen gaat verven laat dat zien dat je als eigenaar niet heel veel meer om de locatie geeft."

"Actually the hotel offers everything we wanted, we enjoyed a good sleep, bath and breakfast, it was clean and the staf is super. But: the look and feel of the hotel is outdated even while the decoration and some furniture is new. The lobby has older seats and wooden tables and does not look as nice as it looks on the foto´s. There is lots of brown and beige, and also dark curtains and carpet. Put in new curtains, laminated floor, lots of white and it will be much nicer"
