'Arrived about 4.30, had not noticed when booking that there was no car parking, nor was there any available outside. We tried to gain admittance to ask for advice on where to park but noonecwas around despite the fact that the website claims that the desk is open all day 7.30am to 11.00pm. We finally gave up and stayed elsewhere. '

'The property is set in a stunning setting, opposite Blencathra, in a really quiet location. Unfortunately, however, the cottage has a rodent problem. Each morning we'd find mouse droppings underneath the fridge, on window ledges and by the sink. On leaving we also discovered mice had chewed through one of our bags.'
