'Overall, it was a very nice experience and the owners did an excellent job of making the cabin feel very homely. The cabin and property are so beautiful and everything from food, towels, firewood, and more were so kindly provided for us. We only had a couple minor complaints. The kids were excited about the treehouse but that was under construction and we were not made aware until we arrived on the property. Also, the AC was not set up before we arrived, so it was hot at night when we were...

'We had a wonderful two night stay at The Rex! I loved the stylish design aesthetic of the hotel and the attention to detail. We were there for the eclipse, and we appreciated that they left us a welcome gift with eclipse glasses and a cute little reusable tote. Each room has their own fire pit, and we made s’mores each night. We hiked allover Promised Land State Park which was accessible on-site at The Rex. We plan to go back! '

'This is our 2nd time at this property and it's our absolutel favorite. The location, the beautiful cabin and the views are stunning. We will be back for sure!'

'The property was clean, checking in and out was easy. We wish we would have known that the bedrooms were as small as they were (the bed is too small for two adults), more blankets on the beds would be good too. Also, propane tanks were empty as a result we couldn't grill or use the outside fireplace (that was a bummer). However, would consider renting it again!'

'Security at the entrance was challenging, however, as a single woman, I felt safe because of it. Cabin is Beautiful & Immaculate. Needed more time to become more familiar with the area. The girls (friends since 1st grade) both want to return. I'll be planning our next trip soon & so will my buddies who want to return with their families. Thank you Charles !'

'This was a great getaway for our family. It had something for everyone: double bunk beds and lots of games for the kids, a kitchen with all the amenities for the adults and 360 degrees of beautiful nature all around. Our only complaint is that the property manager didn't get back to us about a question until the day before we left. At that point he happened to mention that we shouldn't use the fireplace. That would have been good to know going into the trip. Otherwise, a great time was had.'

'Amazing cabin in the mountains of PA. It is just what we were looking for: a spiritual couple of days to connect with ourselves and nature. Great host. Cannot recommend enough!'

'I booked 3 nights here with my significant other for her birthday. The cabin is very cozy, it has a great atmosphere with great views around the property. The hot tub was a very nice touch along with the board games and outdoor games. 10/10 will come back again! Zero complaints.'

'My husband and I spent the weekend at the Elwood Escape for our wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed the set up of the home and we spent a lot of time in the back yard by the fire pit. We took advantage of the hikes and were able to bring our small dog with us. We also loved that one of the restaurants/bar was across the street from the home and were able to walk to the location. Over all we enjoyed this nice quiet escape from the city.'
