'Not much choice in Devenport - this hotel was bought by Chineses interests some years ago and they obviously do not like spending money on maintaining the property. Squeaky floorboards, squeeky doors, light above basin in bathroom not working, shower floor waste has unattached metal cap floating around the shower base, timber ventians in the sun room not working properly, one bedroom window cracked and repaired by sticking a sheet of adhesive backed imitation tiles (!) across it thereby blocking...

'manager was niet vriendelijk rest van het personeel wel, er was geen kookgelegenheid , zwembad erg klein en koud, op de site voor boeking kon je de kamers niet zien, anders hadden we een kamer bij het zwembad genomen, er werd door de manager gezegd dat alle kamers volgeboekt waren, hebben we niet gezien.'

'We had a fantastic day. The apartment is located just a short walk from Waiake Beach - in fact, you can go out the back gate, stroll past the sailing club and you’re right there. The apartment itself is presented with modern decor and has everything you need for your stay, right down to the complementary tea, coffee, Milo and cookies. Lovely outlook over the reserve, huge bed in the master bedroom, spa bath in the bathroom, great communication from our hosts… really hard to fault anything about...

'We stayed here as part of a larger group. Simon is fantastic with communication and accommodating to our needs. We were able to organise a buffet dinner for our large group which was delicious. The resort itself is a bit dated but suited our needs having family, couples and single rooms available with everyone having a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This was our second time staying as a large group.'
