Wake up to dreamy ocean views in this 3-bedroom, 2-bath upstairs unit of a classic beachfront home on the Balboa Peninsula. This upper duplex rental offers all the coastal charm of old Balboa with an unbeatable location, incredible views, and a family-friendly price. (Patio is for first floor rental only)

Enjoy a spacious master bedroom with its own sitting area, private bath, and oval spa jetted tub. A fully equipped kitchen opens into the living area, complete with TV and a comfy sectional sofa for relaxing after a day in the sun.
Sleeps up to 5 guests comfortably.
Bring your binoculars—you won’t want to miss dolphins, sailboats, and views passing by. Just a short 5-block stroll brings you to the Balboa Ferry, Pavilion, Catalina Flyer boat, Fun Zone arcade, and more. From here, it’s easy to walk to the pier, boat ride to Catalina, & rent bikes (3 blocks south) for a ride along the boardwalk.

One on-site parking space behind the house. Additional street and city lot parking available 4 blocks south. We’ve been hosting families here for over 20 years and welcome the opportunity to offer families a sweet vacation.

There are some inexpensive improvements that can be made. Maybe some blinds in the living room that actually block the sun in the afternoon. It’s also missing some screens so flies were coming in but at first we didn’t know why. The 2nd bathroom needs work, especially the shower.

Fabulous Home

It was an amazing place to stay!!! Fabulous views and right on the beach!!! It was so easy to check in and Ann was quick to answer questions and very attentive!!! We have been staying in balboa for 6 years now but our normal house was torn down unexpectedly so we were worried about finding a new place and we really don’t like change but we were pleasantly surprised!!! 4 friends that went to high school together 52 years ago. We walked Balboa Island and to the ferry which we took to Catalina Island on a different day. We had so much fun! The beds were really comfortable and so nice to have an extra sink in one of the rooms. We even handled the stairs really well for 72 year old ladies! Beautiful beach view!!

A little underwhelming

Location was wonderful. So is the host family. Unfortunately, the place is a bit rundown. We’re having a hard time opening and closing the windows and the shades were falling apart. Also the beach toys and chairs that were mentioned are all rusty. I didn’t even feel comfortable, touching any of them because it looked quite dangerous. Which that let us down a bit we were really relying on those for our trip. Also taking consideration there is no laundry detergent for the washer and dryer. Maybe I was spoiled with other houses that I’ve rented but there’s always been things like coffee creamer and detergent for us to use, but this house didn’t have those extras. aside from that it was a good house.

Beach stay for Soccer Showcase In Norco

We opted to stay at the beach and drive the 50 minutes to the soccer fields for a college showcase. The drive was EASY. The house was PERFECT! I had my daughter and 2 other girls on the team, there was so much to do and the girls could walk around and explore on their own. Ann was great with communication. We made dinners some nights, the kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect Beach Getaway!

Our family of five absolutely loved our stay at Anne's property. The panoramic beach view alone was worth the price! Loved being close to many restaurants as well as the beach, but still found it to be relatively quiet and and peaceful at night. The home was fully stocked and we appreciated the little touches like dimmer switches on the lights and the availability of beach toys. We definitely hope to return!

Wonderful Beach Vacation

This property is right on the beach and very convenient to everything Newport Beach has to offer. We rented bikes, stayed for hours on the beach, and even enjoyed a bonfire right next to the Pacific Ocean. The rental is exactly as described. The kitchen is fully stocked which allowed us to do a few meals and avoid eating every meal out. I highly recommend this rental unit.
