'De plek is fantastisch als je naar Highclere Castle wilt gaan. Kamer niet te groot en vriendelijk personeel.'

'Vriendelijk en servicegericht: föhn, strijkijzer en waterkoker op je kamer. Het oudste deel is een oude sfeervolle pub. Een fijne plek om even als 2e thuis te hebben. Heerlijk rustig wakker worden met alleen vogels en blatende lammetjes als achtergrondgeluid.'

'We enjoyed our stay at the Dolphin. Friendly staff, great bar and dinner was amazing.'

'Very nice and cosy rooms. Good service and kind staff. We have a delicious diner and big breakfast. '

'The Dundas Arms is a warm welcoming hotel in an interesting setting between canal and river on the edge of a lovely village. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed. The restaurant was busy with good service and a good menu of delicious food. The staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient. It was our diamond wedding celebration and we were well looked after and given complimentary bubbly to celebrate. We had a most enjoyable 3 days and consider Dundas an ideal country venue and...

'Really a nice place and something different than all others. Recommend it if you are looking for a cosy place with nice restaurant. The bed and room is great. Just one minus. Breakfast starts at 8 but we got notified it would be 9 because no staff. We paid for it and got some toast and some cerials but was a bit of a downer. If I don't need to have early breakfast I would go again. Colese to highway and Highclere castle by the way.'

'Vi måtte desværre køre videre for planlagt, men på vores ene nat på The Swan nåede vi at konstatere, at en dobbeltseng på 135 cm bredde ikke er godt nok. Desuden var fjedrene i madrassen så maste at vi kunne mærke sengebunden. Det fremgår at der er 2 hhv 3 minutters gang fra The Swan til navngivne spisesteder, vi mener snarere 30 minutter.'

'lekker rustig. groter kamer in los hotelgebouw.'

'Heerlijk rustig, Lekker eten. Zeer goed prijs/ kwaliteit'

'Nice hotel, nice room Only disadvantage you could not switch off the central heating. So it was like a sauna the whole night. Wake up with a headache due to that..'

'We had a lovely stay at The Great Decoy. The weather was horrible unfortunately, but the pub was very cosy and welcoming with lovely open fires. Lovely food, great decor, lovely attention to detail including the gorgeous smelling toiletries provided. The bed was very comfy with lovely bedding. We will definitely return and also try out other pubs in the Chickpea Group.'

'Nice hotel some miles of the motorway. Quiet place although sounds from restaurant below were easily heard in the room of my collegue in front of the hotel. Nice large bathroom. No hairdryer.'

'Very quaint pub in a quiet village - but full of life and character, obviously popular with locals and visitors alike. The staff were super friendly. Food was great. Our room was unique and full of old pub charm including sloping floors, but it was super clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was well appointed.'

'Geweldige locatie en leuk hotel. Goede prijs. '

'If you are looking for a good night sleep i would not stay here. Pub appears to have lock ins until 1am and then they stand outside for hours talking loudly. Windows have no secondary glazing and your woken constantly by bin trucks in the morning. Maybe rooms at rear are better. Room is nice and clean but if they improved sound insulation on windows and closed pub earlier it might be bareable.'
