'Interesting historic place. Pleasant place to relax and a great base for exploring the Hawke's Bay. Spent 3 nights there, service is good and the staff very helpful. Stayed in the "William Nelson Suite" and we could relax on the verandah or in the grounds with its historic trees.'

'We loved the pavilion for a number of reasons. There was absolute privacy. Accommodation was spacious and clean. I could pick my fresh mint leaves for tea just outside by the deck and the kitchen came well equiped with freshly baked bread and fruit on arrival. The location between Hastings and Havelock North was perfect for us.'
