'In a residential neighborhood just past the upper edge of the business area, we enjoyed the quiet street and short walk to everything. We understand that the home once belonged to a sea captain. Now, it is up-to-date (but not too modern) where it counts, freshly painted, clean and comfortable. The HVAC system was quiet and it maintained our temperature setting during a few days of cool weather. The continental breakfast was excellent - from the spinach souffle (?) to the chocolate...

'The Brass Lantern was great. Sharon was wonderful and welcoming. The continental breakfast was wonderful. We appreciated having the home baked foods and warm cookies at 5 pm. Very nice outdoor space! My only comment would be that the rooms in the entry and living rooms could be noisy as people spent time in those rooms; we played cards in the both the dining and living rooms and tried to be quiet but it was very easy to hear a phone call from the rooms. '

'Het hotel is nieuw en ziet er aan de buitenzijde mooi uit. Echter bij de ontwikkeling van het hotel is er totaal niet gedacht aan geluidsisolatie. Je hoort je zij- onder- en bovenburen, de airco zowel binnen als de units buiten, het geluid van het restaurant en allerlij andere vage herrie van machines in het pand. Ook zijn de harde houten vloeren gehorig. Het eiland is supermooi en delicate van het hotel ook, maar er zijn in de buurt veel betere alternatieven '
