« We loved our stay at Lakeside Retreat - perfect location, clean, very comfortable and spacious, very well equipped kitchen and we felt quite "at home" in the house. Fiona and Richard are great hosts and easy to communicate with, check-in/out is very easy & there is no need to fuss with keys etc! Would love to return, Nagambie is a wonderful area and we enjoyed a beautiful lunch in the restaurant at Tahbilk Winery. 5 Stars to Lakeside Retreat from us (4 Adults - 2 sisters and our husbands who...

« I was hesitant about booking this place due to some bad reviews regarding dogs. After being stuck in my car for 25 minutes due to an aggressive dog not letting me out of the vehicle, I was right to question whether this place was right for me. »

« Great property.. enough space for 3 couples and 4 children. Pool was excellent, two fridges was handy for us, house was well equipped with everything we needed. Loved the view of the river from the house and enjoyed a few drinks and food on the table and chairs under the shady trees.. beautiful countryside. Close to Melbourne but feels like you’re far away! (In a good way!) The owners were responsive and able to help with anything we needed. Highly recommend. Thanks for the stay. »

« This is a beautiful country property just 5 mins drive from Seymour shops. The view is stunning, especially at sunset with kangaroos hopping around. The pool is even nicer than the pictures show. Full kitchen has everything you could need. »

« We enjoyed the rustic nature and country remoteness that this property provided. It’s very unusual in its collection of historic items but the beds were very comfy and it was surprisingly well appointed. We enjoyed the remoteness and getting away from it all for a few days. »

« The property is in a good location, with an easy walk into town and around the Lake area. Bedrooms are very comfortable, heating and BBQ are very good. »

« Despite the extremely dry landscape, this house and the surroundings really were delightful. It is a short drive to Euroa and the amazing Seven Creeks Hotel (we ate there twice) and Strathbogie and some hidden waterfalls.Everything in the house was beautifully appointed and clean. Definitely recommend a stay. We'd like to return is spring when hopefully the rain has come. »
