'David is an incredible host! We cannot thank him enough for hosting us for a week! Everything was just as described in the listing. The rooms were comfortable and the layout was perfect for our family. David was extremely receptive to all communication and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time in Canaan. We will definitely be back! *Don’t forget your fishing poles! Our 6yo son caught a huge bass, and two huge trout!'

'They have excellent customer service and the host is a very kind and considerate person! We couldn’t believe the price for the area! Hands down, no one even comes close to the price! If you want a great bargain and don’t need expensive frills then I highly recommend this. It’s close to beautiful hiking trails, antique shops, outdoors sporting, parks, and some towns that aren’t too far (without paying the tourist trap prices). The tv service and WiFi were a plus. 'The historic Funk home is a true gem. I love classic Victorian homes and the renovation work done to this home and the tasteful decor and cleanliness provided an impressive welcome for our stay. We were attending my brother's music festival; Fredfest, didn't get to spend much time at the house, but will try to schedule for next year to fully appreciate what the home has to offer.'

'Lovely property out in the middle of nowhere and we didn’t see a single person during our stay! (We did, however, meet a very friendly dog during an evening stroll!) The property was very clean and well stocked. Looks just as nice as the pictures! I would advise bringing bottled water as what comes out of the tap is not easily drinkable. We had a fabulous time!'

'I celebrated my birthday with family & friends at the cabin — our stay was phenomenal!! The cabin was stocked with everything we needed for a weekend of fun. Coffee for breakfast, towels for the bathroom, there wasn’t a detail overlooked.The house is stunning, it looks even better in person! Very spacious & beautifully decorated. Brad was an amazing host, he checked in & ensured we were a great time.I can’t wait to come back! '
