'Very thoughtful and helpful staff, always offering us heat packs/ umbrella when we leave in the morning. Onsen is small but has both indoor and outdoor areas, good vanity supplies and hair dryer. Location is excellent if you drive and want to be based near the Hoshino resort area. Plenty of things to explore within 20min drive from hotel.'

'This hotel is a hidden gem with helpful and friendly staff. Feels like a b&b with cooked breakfast, games area for adults and kids. The staff went above and beyond - helping us with transport to our next destination, making calls (in Japanese) and driving us to our shuttle connection. Rooms were comfortable and warm. It’s about 10mins from the town centre but they do offer pick up and drop offs from the train, and it makes it quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend! '

'Incredible stay and experience at 軽井沢森四季! The staff was so helpful and assisted us with everything we needed including making 2 amazing meals for our group. The 緑 cabin was the perfect size for our 6 person group and we were really able to utilize the space and location to maximize our time in Karuizawa. We especially loved the wood burning stove in the cabin and used it during a snowstorm to have the coziest night of our trip. I highly recommend anyone interested take advantage of this...

'This was simply the best and most lovely hotel stay in Japan ever and I have traveled there many times. The staff are so incredibly kind - it is overwhelming. The rooms are old-fashioned but quaint. The location is fantastic - at the end of the road so nice and quiet. The buffet breakfast was lovely - highly recommended. If you're using Google Maps to get there - take a cab from the train station and don't bother with the bus. It's only 1300 yen and so worth it. Absolutely loved this place and...
