'When I eventually managed to check in I found that my room smelt funny. The windows were open so I guessed that the smell may have come from the outside. There was no staff at the guest house for me to speak to. When I returned to the room after getting some food I found that the smell was coming from the damp mattress and the smell I believed was urine. I rung the contact number I had, but nobody answered. 'The room was newly refurbished but it was not cleaned properly. I found packets of white powder behind furniture( suspected drugs); there was long dark hair in bed anf on the floor; booked well in advance and requested for roller bed only to be told there we taken offered to another occupant & had to make kids beds on the floor (fortunately we brought extra bedding); sharing the shower cubicle with 2 other families was not ideal; i sneezed the whole weekend from the electric diffusers but it...

'The property is well located with multi storey car park nearby and the river views very welcoming. Check in late at night was a bit hap hazard, mainly due to process changes but when we really wanted to get to bed it was a bit delayed. The bed was comfy, shower very good and over all very comfortable. '
