Blokhutten in Midden van South Carolina

'Yurt was spacious, clean, comfortable and prettily done out. Composting toilet easy to use and not at all smelly. No shower facilities yet - as per spec- so probably a short stay best. We were only there one night. Bed and sofa bed were comfy. Definitely book breakfast. Best breakfast of our whole trip and we came away with a delicious home baked cake. Carefully check the map details. Phone signal is patchy in places and there are more than one State Road South. The little numbers are...

'The beds were dirty. There was no toilet paper nor paper towels besides what was left over from last stay. I had to sweep the floor as soon as we got there. The place was nice and cozy but the cleaning service needs to be better!'

'The check in process was very smooth and the person working in check in was very nice and friendly. I didn’t have problems until I reached the cabin. Firstly, the cabin lock did not work entirely. Only the top lock worked and the bottom lock on the door knob did not. When I was leaving to lock the door it took me a couple minutes to even lock the door because the lock that did work didn’t work very well. The cabin was not clean. The bathroom did not have a trash can for feminine products (which...

'Very sweet little spot. We enjoyed being away from the busyness.'

'My Son and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. As the description says, it is very secluded but also close to the interstate, so getting anywhere in the region is easy. Cell phone service is pretty limited in the area, but the host provides access to wifi calling which was easy to connect to. The place is very clean, setting is very peaceful and relaxing and communications with the host were excellent, would recomend for sure. '

'Don't waste your money. The main dock is closed and it’s in the middle of nowhere. Couldn’t find the game room that was advertised and it was overpriced for what it was. Our appliances did not work due to the only outlet near being dead. The fridge was also leaking. Bathrooms need cleaning as well. We found mold in the AC and the door deadbolt didn’t work. If everything was working and it was clean, it might be worth closer to what it was priced. Also, service feeds add like 40 to the original...

'It was great fishing but no electricity and Jug water you have carry to be able take shower. Composting toilet . Everything would be great if you could drive to cabin you have walk away . And you use a wagon bring your stuff to cabin. We left to go get something to eat it started raining. So we had walk back to cabin in rain . And the water runs across right where you have walk to go to cabin . We got our feet soaked as well as ourselves. It was really a pain having us a wagon when we bought ice...
