Pensions in Louisbourg

'The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. It does not help the atmosphere but they only start around 8 am so it did not bother us much. At first we were put in an old room that had not been renovated yet. This room really did not meet the standards for the amount of money they ask for it. Wallpaper letting go of the walls, airconditioning that would not turn off, dirty carpets. After we requested a room change we spend a second night in a renovated room that was great. (Our sleep not so...

'This was one of our favourite stays while visiting Nova Scotia/Cape Breton. The hotel was kept very clean and cozy and we loved that there was a tea/coffee room at the end of every hallway on each floor. Our room was quaint and beautifully vintage and there was unique art hung across all the walls. The hostess was very friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sydney. Loved that it was so centrally located as well! We were able to walk to and from the...

'La piscine c'est vraiment génial. Le site est merveilleux. Les batiments manque d'entretien à l'extérieur. Un voageur précédent à remisé un poêlon salle dans l'armoire.'

'Lovely, comfortable home in Sydney River. We stayed with our three teenage kids for three nights while visiting family at various locations on Cape Breton. Convenient location, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. We would stay here again!'

'Very comfortable beds , huge living space , large 75” tv . Like the first floor access . Small things like available slippers in multiple sizes to wear inside'

'The owners were great and very responsive. The location is perfect. It’s close to everything. It was very clean.'

'Everything went very well, except for the water pressure, which was quite poor. Also, the water felt slippery on our skin, which was uncomfortable.'

'We did not have high expectations, however it was very similiar to staying in student housing. We had to clean many dishes before we used them. It is a run down house. The queen beds were comfortable. Burn Mark on the sheets.!The shower was clean. Overall we were not comfortable in the environment and wanted to leave as quickly as possible.'

'Our group of 4 couples loved the accommodations. Exactly as described. Very comfy beds. Well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. Would definitely stay here again.'

'The house was fine, and clean. However, it could use some TLC in maintenance. We were also surprised to find that the advertised indoor pool was shared with other renters - that wasn't mentioned in the description. All in all it was fine, but the whole property should have been better described.'

'Although the Rita Suite was clean, comfortable and roomy, and it is in a great location, we found it lacked some basic amenities for travelers such as: Salt and Pepper, cooking oil, servettes, extra roll of paper towel, and sufficient amount of coffee pods for the length of our stay. As well, there was no "Welcome Basket" that we are accustom to seeing at other VRBOs that includes such things as preserves, crackers etc. (i.e. small items that are often not brought by travelers). Lastly, there...
