Please Do Not Stay Here – Zero Flexibility or Compassion
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Hyde Park International was extremely disappointing. This hotel is not even an ounce accommodating when unexpected situations arise.
Yes, I booked a nonrefundable stay through Expedia, but I could not have anticipated that my best friend’s father would suddenly not feel well and be unable to travel. Since their hotel only allowed three guests, I had booked a single room at the Hyde Park International. Once the situation changed, I reached out to Hyde Park International explaining everything and asked if they could offer any flexibility — a cancellation, partial refund, or even a future credit.
The answer was a flat no. To avoid a complete loss, I checked in but did not stay the night, and when I followed up again to ask about checking out early or receiving a partial refund, the response was still no. Rose, the front desk manager, repeated that I should have contacted them earlier (even though I already had).
Policies are policies, but compassion and customer service matter. This property showed none. If you choose to stay here, just be aware that they will not accommodate you under any circumstances.
Book refundable if you want even the slightest flexibility.
