'The evening show was great. There were a lot of choices with the food. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were limited washrooms and one was closed most days. The pool smelled like pee. Renovations outside our room for the duration of our stay were noisy and dirty. WiFi is slow and all amenities info is online, so access to the needed information was lacking.'

'We stopped in Puntarenas on our way back from the west coast to San Juan. Unless you are curious to see all of Costa Rica, there is not much at all in this area. It's a filthy, poor area with little to offer, even though it is so close to the beach. The hotel is kind of old and tired with an unclean looking pool. Food is mediocre at best. We had a suite in the newly build tower, supposedly with a view over the marina. No view unless you stand on the balcony. We asked for a different room but got...

'Breakfast was fine but the room did not match the advertised pictures. No hot water option for a shower, very sketchy shower spray, very small sink. Staff was friendly enough. '

'The property was great except for getting in and out of the nice pool. No ladder or stairs. Not having a/c and sleeping with bug spray on was not good. Nice people wonderful breakfast. '

'I spent four nights at Cuatro Vientos with my family! We rented a room with two beds and a private restroom. Even before we arrived we already were impressed with the owners because we needed to figure out a last minute issue! They were so helpful and very friendly. Kitchen is adequately equipped, other shared areas are also well maintained and clean '
