I recently stayed at this resort and was unfortunately disappointed by the experience. While there were a few highlights, the systemic issues with service and maintenance made for a stressful vacation.
Service & Communication:
The resort appears to cater almost exclusively to local guests. As an international traveler, I found the staff to be unresponsive and hesitant to assist. The biggest frustration was the à la carte restaurant booking system. It is completely unintuitive; when I reached out via WhatsApp, I was told to see Guest Services, who then simply told me to use the (non-functional) web link. This "loop" made dining much more difficult than it should be.
Room Condition:
The rooms are in desperate need of an update. Our shower head did not work properly, the balcony door was non-functional, and despite being a "resort," our mini-fridge was never once restocked during our stay.
Dining & Coffee:
The food variety is very limited, with only slight variations day-to-day. Most surprisingly, there was no fruit served at lunch or dinner. For early risers, be aware that there is no dedicated coffee station; you have to wait for the buffet to open at 8:00 AM, and even then, there is no espresso-style coffee available.
Entertainment & Activities:
All evening shows are conducted only in Spanish with no English translation. Additionally, there were no water equipment rentals or organized activities available on-site, which was a letdown for a beach destination.
