  • Leef als een local in een mooie en charmante vernieuwde studio. Slechts 3 minuten lopen naar het zand op het prachtige gezinsvriendelijke Wind n Sea-strand. Privé maar toch dichtbij alle voorzieningen.

    1 slaapkamer (gescheiden van woonkamer), 1 badkamer en een complete keuken. Ruimte voor 1-2 volwassenen om comfortabel te slapen. Queen size bed met traagschuim matras in de slaapkamer. De studio heeft ook een comfortabele full-size slaapbank in de woonkamer. De studio is gezellig maar voelt erg ruim aan! Beach Comber's Hideaway is een heel speciale plek om te verblijven.

    Groot prive-terras met schaduw zeilen om te dineren, te ontspannen en onderhoudend. BBQ, buiten dineren, keuken met full-size fornuis voor gastronomische maaltijden, wasmachine en droger. Hond vriendelijk.

    Werkelijk mooi en speciaal, Beach Comber's Hideaway is een mooie en charmante strandstudio die je met plezier naar huis zult noemen!

Really great location!

The property was great. It was smaller than we had anticipated but was perfect for two. The walk down to the beach was a delight and proximity to everything was wonderful.

The wind and sea area is lovely. This place is a block from the beach with surfing nearby. The place is smaller than it looks on line but totally serviceable. We really appreciated the Landry and all the restaurants and the walk ability of La Jolla.

La Jolla Fall Trip

Great location with close proximity to the beach. Very easy check in/out process. Great value, ideal for one couple.

Nice location

Nice clean property close to several good restaurants, nice neighborhood to walk around, close to beach where many neighbors gather at sunset, would definitely return, agree that La Jolla is definitely a jewel!

Our week in La Jolla

La Jolla is beautiful. Sea Lions and the cove were a delight. Location on Gravilla is close to the waves and a nice walk to endless entertainment options.

Sweet spot

We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach multiple times each day, and having stores and restaurants close was a plus. Comfortable, well equipped and clean. I would recommend this property.

Being our 1st time doing STR I was very pleased with everything. Easy entry instructions .. Parking was pretty good (construction going on) . Easy access to the beach. Loved my early & late walks along the beach with my dog. (oh yeah, Pet Friendly too) .. the only thing missing was (maybe) a hook in the bedroom. Kinda tight in there.Definitely looking forward to another visit.

Nice place

We enjoyed our visit to beachcomber hideaway. Convenient location with parking on the street. The unit is clean and well maintained. The beach is a short walk but we found having a car is best for all the sights and activities that are in the area.

German Sheperd lives above this unit and eats dog bones that is extremely loud. The owners charged me an additional 120 for 2nd cleaning that I just found out that I was not obliged to pay per VRBO! The unit's location was truly 1 block from the beach. But there is construction right across the street that is not conducive to serenity. The parking is not always available. For the price, I would not recommend this place!

This was our fifth stay, and the fact that we keep returning says everything. Being able to walk to the beach and enjoy everything La Jolla has to offer is simply unbeatable.That said, we've noticed the property is showing its age. The interior flooring has noticeable wear, and the furnishings could use a refresh. New bedding, a refreshed sofa, and a few thoughtful touches would go a long way.The courtyard has always been one of our favorite features, but it's losing some of its charm. One chair is missing, cobwebs have accumulated, and we'd love to see it cleaned up so it's once again an inviting space for alfresco dining. The walkway to the unit could use fresh landscaping, repainting, better lighting, and relocating or screening the trash bins would make a huge difference. Inside, the bed is too low (12" off the floor). Raising it with a box spring or taller frame would improve comfort. We also understand A/C isn't common in San Diego, but a portable or window unit would be a welcome upgrade.We also noticed a few cockroaches and quite a few flies during our stay, suggesting the exterior could benefit from a little more routine maintenance.This feedback comes from a place of appreciation, not criticism. We are loyal, repeat guests who genuinely want to see this property continue to succeed. With a little TLC and some modest updates, it could easily regain the charm that made us fall in love with it years ago. We hope to continue making this our annual La Jolla getaway

Amazing location

The location is great and the apartment is perfect for 1-2 people. The only thing I would improve is that some items like the laundry basket or kitchen utensils should be replaced. It is well equipped with cookware and silverware.

Wonderful location

This property is located in a beautiful neighborhood 1 block from the fabulous Windansea Beach. The apartment made very good use of the square footage and was roomy enough for our needs. The back patio added to the feeling of space. Nice remodel, comfortable bed. 2 of us stayed there 2 weeks and would stay there again. The only negative aspect is entering the building you walk through the trash can alley to get to the door. But we always felt safe and enjoyed coming ‘home’ to the cozy apartment.

Wir fanden alles wie beschrieben vor und haben nichts vermisst. Bei der Anreise am Sonnabend Nachmittag könnte es schwierig werden, an der Straße einen Parkplatz zu finden.

A Whisper Away From the Beach

The location makes this place worth it, no question. It's just up the hill from Windansea Beach, so you can dart down to stroll, scramble over the rocks, set out your towel or watch pelicans. It is small (*really* small on rainy days!) and the kitchen fixings are very basic. The neighborhood has largely kept its charm, but there is lots of new construction (which, alas, could be loud.) Really glad we chose this overall.

Experience

The suite is at a fantastic location. 1 block from the beach. You can walk to shops, restaurants and grocery stores within 20 -30 min. The suite is in a great neighborhood and felt very safe when out walking. We used Uber to get around. The suite is a bit old with an updated bathroom but overall a great place and i would definitely come back again. Pictures are accurate. Owners replied quickly with any questions. Thankyou for the great time we had.

Review of Beachcomber

The location was great! It was near the shoreline and quiet. The private patio was nice. Very clean, but small, with mirrored walls in every room, which made it appear larger online. It was quite stark in terms of supplies. It would have been nice to have coffee filters, coffee, creamer, and sugar/sweetener. Additionally, there was a lack of bar soap and shampoo in the bathroom. We were required to resupply the toilet paper, trash bags, and wash the beach towels. We also had to rearrange the furnishings to fit the essential floor fan into the cramped bedroom. A pool was mentioned online, but there was none.
