« This was an excellent opportunity for my son and I to complexly get away from the city and be surrounded by nature. Getting to the island was fairly easy with the pontoon boat. My primary negatives were that there was effectively no charcoal for the grill and only enough firewood for one night. « We stayed here for two nights. The place is definitely off the beaten path and we liked it. Just be aware that the unpaved road is a little rough this time of year. We met the owner Mike not long after checking in and he was a really nice guy. I might try to come back during deer hunting (bow) season. »

« A group of us went to celebrate a 40th birthday. This place was everything we were looking for. It was very secluded with no neighbors in sight! There were 11 of us and 2 dogs. We did a lot of fishing and paddle boarding (the boat and 2 paddle boards were provided at no extra cost!). Being from the city we all really enjoyed star gazing and we all saw shooting stars. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and there was laundry on site. 10/10 would recommend staying here and we hope to...

« We took a quick family get away to the UP from southern WI for our daughter's bday...took the UTV, trails abound...it was a last minute trip...it did NOT disappoint!!! The sound of the river alone was worth it!!! Loved the cabin! Kids always enjoy a loft, water was nice and hot for showers and bath! Check in and out was easy :) We just keep dreaming of owning our own someday, in the meantime, thanks so much for sharing! Second time to Lake Superior now...there is so much to see in the UP! Hope...

« This lil cabin is exactly as described.. cute and homey- fully stocked kitchen.. microwave, pots pans, etc.. right down to the spices.. beautiful sunsets. cute lil lake.. very quiet and peaceful. Pontoon boat was an extra bonus!! Gary was very friendly and accommodating! »
