Personeel is erg vriendelijk, echter mist er een duidelijke manager in het restaurant. Lang wachten en vieze borden/glazen worden niet weggehaald. Wij vonden prijs-kwaliteitverhouding uit balans. Te duur, voor wat je krijgt. Resort is verouderd en niet goed onderhouden. Kamers zijn ook erg gehorig. Locatie aan Railay Beach west is wel gunstig.

Heb een kamer gekregen helemaal aan het einde van het resort gekregen ik heb gevraagd om niet zo ver te zitten in verband met mijn gezelschap die niet al te goed ter been is de WiFi werkt hier bijna nooit als die het doet is het Maar voor een paar ‘minuten heb zelf data moeten kopen bij de locale aanbieder

Echt een top locatie, midden in de natuur, apen en toekans op je balkon. Het zwembad is prima en direct aan het strand. Beter wordt het niet. De kinderen vonden het fantastisch.

Leuk resortop een prachtige locatie
Dit resort is ruim opgezet, de kamers zijn ook ruim, wij hadden een extra bed nodig en ook dan is er ruimte genoeg. Dit betreft overigens de deluxe kamer. Het is mooi opgezet aan en prachtig strand waar je met eb en vloed een erg leuke attractie krijgt omdat het water tegen de rand van het resort klapt. De zee is mooi groen en door de kalksteenrotsen heb je een sprookjesachtig gezicht.

The property is sooo dated and in really bad condition!! We had the deluxe chalet and honestly it was only deluxe in the size of the room! The balcony was so small and blocked by a concrete wall so no breeze at all! And smelly all around the grounds and the staff were so unhelpful and moody! We got only two small bottles of water a day as complimentary! Appalling if you ask me! The breakfast was disgusting and they served awful juice not fresh at all just diluted sugar juice! The only plus was its on better beach side but could you ever get to sunbathe by that side! NO! All beds taken by crack of dawn and ones left had no shade! They hardly have any parasols so you couldn’t use the other beds in direct sun! This resort is pretty poor and I would rate it as a 2 star and definitely no more! Awful and not worth the cost!

our first night was not so good, had a few good size problems with the room. We were moved to a second room and after that it was really perfect! the hotel has no alcohol, but next door has plenty for all to enjoy. next to that is a little side street that is the BEST! I COMPLANE about almost everything but the place is really good, and the view is like nothing in this world beautiful

Located on gorgeous beach with easy access to nice shops and restaurants as well as excursions by boat. Hotel itself and grounds are very nice with restaurant that has a beach view.

We stayed on West Railay beach side of the hotel, in a Deluxe room. It was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The hotel does not serve alcohol but was not a big problem. You do need to get a Long tail boat to go on any trips or to most other parts of Krabi but was easier than we first expected.

This property is steps away from the Railay East pier which was so nice upon arrival. Don't read the map at the pier though - it'll take you to Railay West, when the reception is on Railay East. You can access the hotel from Railay west yes but it's easier to go to the reception from the east side. Our room was fantastic, the property was unreal, and we loved every minute of it. There are 3 pools on the property as well as it's steps away from Railay West beach. The food at the breakfast was ok. It's worth noting that this hotel does not sell any alcohol - they dont care if you get your own and drink it at the property, but they only sell virgin drinks. The hotel is not far from the walking street and lots of restaurants, we loved it. HIGHLY recommend this property!

The resort has some newer and some older rooms. We stayed in an older room and our experience was not great. I think they need maintenance on some things, for example the bathroom...the drain was blocked, we informed reception about the problem and they said they would fix it but the other days the problem remained the same, the toilet wasn't working very well either. We had to flush it several times for it to work. After the check in , we put poison in the room because there were a lot of mosquitoes (I understand this part because the rooms are in the middle of nature), but when we returned to the room we found some cockroaches that died when we used the poison. The room cleaning was not the best. The staff were attentive and receptive, breakfast with a lot of variety. Considering the hotel category, I expected more, the amount we paid was not worth what we received.

I've been staying at Sand Sea since my first visit in 1999. Great location. Muslim owned, so no bacon for breakfast or alcohol served in their restaurant. Their right, so no complaint, but I dined elsewhere - hence 4 stars.

We had a lovely stay. The beach is beautiful, if a bit busy with taxi and tour boats but that makes it convenient to get to other places. The airport transfer was well worth the cost and went smoothly. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Could probably do with a bathroom upgrade. All in all a very nice place to stay.

It is an amazing hotel and very clean. The service is great, they give 4 bottles of water everyday. The breakfast was really nice. They offer shared and private shuttle service to the pier and airport. The private shuttles are bit expensive. The shared are the same price as local taxi's.

Railay er bra en gang i livet.
Blei skuffet når vi kom til Railay øst med båten da jeg så stranden, men blei gledelig overasket da jeg så resorten gikk over til Railay vest også. Restaurant og badebasseng ligger nydelig plassert mot stranden i vest. Railay beach sin store minus er at det kommer alt for mange turistbåter til stranden og på 80 % av stranden er det båter parkert fra kl 11 til kl 18. Kjempe fornøyd med 5 døgn, men kommer ikke tilbake. Veldig fornøyd med flyplasstransporten.

Sand Sea Resort stretches from the west harbour to the east with well designed, planted and cared for vegetation from flowers to large monkey inhabited trees and palms. Cabins with covered porches are mixed with larger 2-level buildings of rooms with covered balconies and open stairs that don’t interfere with the gardens. Reception is welcoming in a comfortable shaded space on the water. Rooms are corner glazed and bathtub opens to bedroom through sliding glass doors. Bed is very comfortable. Appears they have a hard water problem by the appearance of the shower set, leaking bathtub valves, and toilet float trouble that was partially repaired while we were there. Other built areas could receive more maintenance to rise to the level of the landscaping. Poor wifi. Many staff members seem indifferent to by creating a visitor experience, Zero, of the restaurant staff is a standout. He can be seen clearing tables quickly without being noticed and is quick to attend to guests’ needs. His English is the best we’ve encountered after being in Thailand for two weeks and with it he gave us confidence in approaching severe allergy problems at the buffet.

Li várias coisas do hotel antes de fazer a reserva que até me assustei. Vamos lá: ficamos numa ala que os quartos eram ótimos, limpos e com tudo funcionando, tivemos um problema no ar-condicionado e logo foi resolvido: o hotel tem várias alas; não sei como fiquei nessa ala [ aparentemente mais nova ]. A piscina é excelente [ a piscina perto da ala 3 ], não fui nas outras duas piscinas. O ponto muito ruim é o café, e veja não sou de reclamar de café pois para mim frutas, um ou outro pão, manteiga e café me satisfaz, mas o café é muito oriental e com diversos pratos que para nós é um almoço, mas tudo bem, como os croissant. Outro ponto que ficamos meio loucos na chegada é a proibição de vender bebida alcoólica pois o hotel tem a bandeira religiosa islã. Mas veja, depois começamos a perceber que podíamos pegar nos outros bares e beber no hotel. Ahhhh não tem nada de presunto ou outras coisas no café ! Mas a nota para o hotel é ótimo e podem ficar sem problema.

Stökigt och rörigt hotel. Kändes som att inget gjorts sedan dess glansdagar på 70-80 talet och både trädgård och boende behövde renoveras.

Rommet var rent og pent. Veldig god service.frokosten var litt dårlig utvalg. Kommer gjerne tilbake hit.

Härlig vistelse på vänlig enkel resort i djungeln
Uppskattar i stort sett allt på Sand sea, baserat på boende i bättre bungalows med små verandor och trädgård utanför. Sängen bekväm och städningen bra. Stolarna på verandan snygga men obekväma. Tillgång till två mindre pooler och nära två fina stränder. Frukosten ok, önskar mer sorters frukt och fler sorters bröd. Maten mycket god (serverar inte alkohol) Men i stort sett är vi nöjda med vistelsen 8 dagar, med vänlig personal (men önskar att de ibland talade lite bättre engelska)

Good spot, on beach, nice pool, big property
Big property, one side on the nice beach. Close to the pier/drop off. Not sure it was worth the price, but nice jungle bungalow rooms with outdoor shower. There might be better options, but this property is close, and clean enough. Friendly staff!

Smukt og godt sted
Generelt ligger hotellet helt fantastisk, med god plads og frisk luft. Selvom hotellet er stort, føles det ikke sådan da omgivelserne er rummelige. Der er mange dyr omkring resortet og mulighed for flotte gåture. Personalet er meget venlige og imødekommende. God plads ved poolen, hvis ikke man bruger poolen helt nede ved stranden. På sådan et stort resort savner jeg en legeplads eller et legerum til børn. Rengøringen kunne være bedre. Der var rengøring af vores værelse hver dag, men kiggede man i krogene lå der gammelt snavs. Derudover så vi på intet tidspunkt rengøring af poolen, og vi kunne hver morgen konstatere at den ikke var gjort ren. Morgenmaden var OK, dog savnede vi bedre rengøring af fx barnestole, der bare blev sat på plads igen uden at blive rengjort. Så de var meget beskidte. Ved udtjekning blev vi opkrævet 150 Baht for en ødelagt kaffekop. Det synes jeg måske er en smule småligt, da jeg vil mene det er hvad der sker, og burde kunne inkluderes i opholdet. Var det sket i restauranten var vi nok ikke blevet opkrævet penge for den kop. Efter at have udvist skuffelse for dette, fik vi dog hurtigt pengene retur. Men alt i alt et fint ophold.
