'Oldest pub in town, founded in 1368. It almost looks like the interior and comfort of the rooms has not changed since.... very small room, bed to short and very, very thin walls. Everything happening in either of the adjecent rooms could impossably be ignored. Breakfast only available after 8.00, which is annoying when on a business trip with early meetings. Staff was kind enough to give me a coffee in the morning, but this did not male up for a bad night sleep.'

'Pleasantly surprised at how lovely this place is. Very authentic British Inn. Indian food on the menu was amazing. Pub was awesome. The room was great. Bed was very comfortable. Shower had great water pressure. Love the old building refurbished with modern amenities. This is a hidden gem. You should stay and eat here!!!! '

'We stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends in the area. We booked a twin room. The room was very small but clean with a lovely en-suite shower room attached. the beds were very comfortable. We arrived early so while we waited for our room to be ready we ordered a BLT double toasted sandwich which we both shared, it was delicious. There was plenty of parking in the car park outside. 'Very competitive price for a comfortable room. Accommodation( total of 4 rooms) was adjacent to and accessed via the village pub , but we did not hear a thing ! Nice outdoor space for relaxing or dining/ drinking. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay here again. Only considerations are staircase up to accommodation and breakfast is not served in the pub. '
