'We absolutely loved our stay at the Highland Cottage. The check in process could not have been easier, we were greeted to such a clean space with homemade cookies waiting for us. 'Perfect home for a couple of friends, maybe 3, to explore the Lake Placid area. Only 20-30 minutes from great hikes, Whiteface, John Brown Farm, Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Lake Saranac. A short walk to ice cream, pizza, and just a little farther to downtown LP. Host was very responsive and home is sufficiently equipped. My friend and I had a very nice stay.'

'The house is a good place to stay if you need ample room and want a quiet retreat in Saranac Lake. Its not on the water but within a short drive of downtown and the lakes. If you have mobility issues this isn’t the place for you as the stairs to the second floor are very steep and there are floor level changes. 'Moreno's Cottages are a pleasant series of little cabins between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. My brother and I stayed in #7. There were two twin beds, a nook and a small, separate kitchen area. It was rustic, but modern enough to feel like you had a place to relax after a hike. We did have some problems getting in, but Todd was super accommodating and had backup codes for us to use.
