'The apartment has a great view of the marina and the main square of town. Bed was comfortable and the staff was more than helpful. The only negative was that the Wifi was not very strong. Don't know if this was a temp issue but was not big enough to ask about. You will surely love this unit. When we return, we will seek this apartment out again!'

'Wat een heerlijk verblijf in een mooi boutique hotel. De 2 zussen runnen dit hotel met passie en liefde voor het vak. De kamer was top, centraal gelegen in het oude gedeelte vlak bij de haven. Elke ochtend een vers gemaakt ontbijt dat aan de tafel geserveerd werd. Elke dag was het ontbijt anders, we keken er gewoon naar uit! 'My only complaint is I wish we could have stayed longer! The views from our balcony were breathtaking. The place was just a 10 minute walk from the ferry and a quick walk to the beach, back into town for food, etc. Would definitely recommend. '

'Porta Maestra is a beautiful property located very close to the ferry port in Hvar. It’s a small, boutique hotel that was renovated to the highest standards. I highly recommend it!'

'Great location. Staff was very nice and pleasant. Instructions and directions were clear and easy. Bath towels were prickly but the apartment made up for it by offering beach towels which is very helpful for island/beach hopping. Shower early as hot water seems to run out by early evening. If you don't mind taking luggage up several stairs, this is a great option. Taxi's can also take you up. I would stay here again! '

'Apartment is small and quite dark as its on the ground floor, but this meant it was cool even on very hot days. It's really well equipped with everything we needed. The only slight issue we found was the bells from the clock tower 50yards away, they start at 6am and stop at 10pm. Didn't cause us issues as we wake up early but not great for those who want a lie in. Location is perfect just a few mins walk to the small back streets with great restaurants and close to the harbour.'

'This place felt like home. Every aspect was remarkably decorated and felt classy. The hosts were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The pool area was a beautiful oasis, espexially to catch the sunset. I hope we can make it back to Hvar, if so this is definitely the place to stay!'
