I’ve stayed at many Hyatt Place properties and have usually had very good experiences, which made this stay disappointing.
The positives were the location, cleanliness of the hotel and rooms, and friendly valet staff. Unfortunately, the front desk service significantly impacted my stay. The associate who assisted me was unwilling to help with a simple request for a higher-floor room and appeared irritated when a key card needed to be reprinted. I had two rooms booked, and the associate helping the other room was accommodating and able to assist, which highlighted the inconsistency. Later that evening, I encountered the same associate again while making a small purchase, and she seemed annoyed even while billing. Her responses were not cordial, and the interaction felt uncomfortable despite me not making any special requests.
There were additional service gaps. The room did not include shower caps or earbuds. When I requested extra towels, I was asked to come downstairs to collect them, which was surprising for a downtown Hyatt Place. I was told staff were busy, but the communication could have been handled more professionally.
Breakfast was another disappointment. There were virtually no vegan options, and vegetarian choices were limited. There were no hot vegetarian items. water was placed far from the food area, making it inconvenient. Breakfast felt poorly planned and not worth it.
Overall, this property did not meet Hyatt expectations and wouldn't stay again.
